Projects

Green Communities Canada has been working for the past 11 years on various walking and walkability projects, starting out with Active & Safe Routes to School in Ontario. In 2007 we co-hosted the Toronto Walk21 conference with the City of Toronto and took advantage of this conference to take a team of international walkability experts on the road visiting rural, suburban and urban communities. This success led us to branch out even more in our attempts to raise the profile of walking in Canada and today we are implementing the following projects:
